The open-source Collective Knowledge framework (CK) and an open CK platform were prototyped by Grigori Fursin with the great help from many academic and industrial partners. The goal is to provide a common playground for researchers and practitioners to collaboratively co-design, benchmark, and optimize complex computational systems (AI, ML, quantum, IoT) in terms of speed, accuracy, energy, and different costs. Eventually we want to enable self-optimizing, brain-inspired, efficient, and reliable computer systems from data centers to edge devices with the help of an open repository of knowledge, a common research SDK with reusable automation actions and artifacts, portable workflows from reproduced papers connected to live SOTA scoreboards, and DevOps/MLOps principles (2009, 2014, 2017, 2019, 2020, overview paper).
Even though the CK technology is used in production for more than 5 years, it is still a proof-of-concept prototype requiring further improvements and standardization.
